The Shuttle Tender Class was designed by the Dragon Mercenaries as a simple way of transporting men and supplies from within the matrix into a node/dimension. Equiped with forty shuttles, each roughly the size of the Z-Flyer. It's one of only a few ships within the organization that use's a ZPM as a power source.

Design
Kalshion was the one who initially designed the STC, but it was later remade by Katarina when she saw that he had made it look more like a spider than what it was suppose to be.
Weapons
The weaponary aboard the Tender is light compared to other ships within the DM. 8 Positron Cannons provide protection against attacking ships within a dimension, 12 Multi-Purpose Phaser Arrays work much the same way as those on the Z-Flyer providing both offensive and defensive capabilities. 4 Anti-Missile/Torpedo Launchers provide a counter to missiles and torpedos, however they are ineffective against quantom based torpedos. 32 Anti-Fighter Arrays keep the Tender well protected from annoying fighters and bombers while in a dimension, the arrays use a combonation of both projectile and energy based systems.
Defenses
Because of the usage of shuttles, this particuler tender class ship doesn't have much in terms of shielding except those needed to survive within the matrix. It relys more on it's weapon systems to keep it safe. The ship is also equiped with R-Type Bio-metal Armor which allows the hull to reflect a portion of the damage away from the vessel, however, due to the lack of proper shielding and also the design of the ship, it doesn't provide much protection in most cases.
Propulsion
The ship is equiped with eight Toasters rated to handle most FTL methods, it's also equiped with two back up Matrix Slip Stream Drive
Other use's
While the Shuttle Tender Class was made primary to handle the movements of personnel between nodes/dimension and the matrix. It is also able to act a temporary supply ship provided none of the cargo bays are full of passenger luggage.
Supply Ship
The STC can act as a supply ship in the event of an emergency and no normal supply ships are in the area. While it lacks the proper cargo capacity, it does have enough room to resupply two corvette class or one frigate class ship.
The ship normally used for these type of operations is the Segres Supply Frigate
Marine Transport
While rare, in the event that marines are needed in a dimension and no marine transports are availible, then the STC can act as a transport for marines and their equipment, however, unlike the marine transports, the STC can't carry their vehicles (tanks, mobile command centers, etc...)
