Magic
Magic comes in two forms - Pure Magic, and Technological Magic. There is a different between the two.
Technological Magic
Technological Magic is magic created through the use of technology, this is either by generators that create the mana used for spells and other 'magic' engines. Technological magic can only exist while the 'Core Crystal' stays in one peice, the Core Crystal is in the hands of the Dyhokan Student Council who keeps it safe from those who'd use it's power for melicious intent.
The Crystal itself is composed of both organic and inorganic material, though how it 'creates' the magical energy used by magic engines and other magical technology is unknown. Only that the closer a magical engine get's to it the more powerful it becomes.
For this reason alone, the crystal is located in the central part of the academy, while there it's magical energy spreads out. However, the energy lose's integrity once it hits water, once this happens the energy is cut in half. Resulting machines acting in a 'normal' fashion.
Magical Tech Flight
Magical Flight is a property of MT. Fighter craft utilitze magic engines for flight, however, these fighters aren't as menuverable as pure magic fighters, which are composed purely of magic.
Pure Magic
Pure Magic is naturally occuring in the enviroment, used by the animals and those mage's that are attuned to it. Pure Magic is used by mage's and spell casters, as well, the student council in keeping track of worldly politics.
Magical Weapons
Magical Weapons are weapons composed of magic and have special properties, these can range from causing area effect damage or stunning people. Magical Weapons can't be blocked by material weapons, however, material weapons embued with magic 'can' block magical weapons.
Magical Flight
Pure Magic Fighter craft utilitze magic for propulsion and weapons, these type of craft are stronger than their technological companions and generally have no weakness. PMF craft can do things that tech craft can't, like obtain speeds that would normally shatter a tech craft.
