Lyra is one of those who was placed in Cyrogenenic Hibernation about the battlestation. She's brought out when Rena's forces go through the station and accidently bring her out of her long sleep. Year's of being frozen have had an effect on her mind, she has difficulty remembering how to get dressed.
Her greatest asset is her intelligence though, she has great mathematical knowledge, knowledge that currently doesn't exist in the current Neko culture. She knows Quantom Physics, Quantom Cyber Physics*, and Quantom System's Analyse, basically speaking she's basically smarter than 'any' Neko on Alkon, at least in terms of ship to ship knowledge and science.
Lyra is really nineteen, but due to years of being in Cyro Hibernation, her body slowly went through physical regression, IE: She got smaller. After the events of part 1, she alternates between working on the battle station and going to school. She may be nineteen, but she still resembles a fourteen year old.

Lyra's mother and father were killed in the original war; her little sister and little brother didn't survive Cyrogenic Hibernation.
Ancient DNA
Other than Rena, Lyra is one of only two other Nekos who possess the Ancient Gene. However, for reasons unknown, she can't access 'certain' systems that Rena can.
