Arika is Ariko twin sister, shes an archer much like her twin and has been a Royal Family Guardian for two years now, while still quite young and innocent of the world around her - shes quite capable of reacting to a dangerous situation. She lives on the castle grounds in their own rooms, but due to their age they are mostly treated as children by most of the inhabitants of the castle, only the Royal Family themselves actually treat them with respect.
What Arika possess is a very good eye, her vision is excellent, and her magical abilities allow her to sight objects that a normal neko can't. However, despite this advantage, she does have a fragile body as her bones are easy to break if enough force was placed against them, because of this her clothing is reinforcement with a special magical symbol that projects most of her magic into her body to form a secondary barrier around her bones.. this basically means she has to rely on her own inner strength to achieve hits with her bow.
Background:
In terms of how they became apart of the family. Ariko and Akari were originally living a normal peasants life, however their skills at a bow made them recognized by the local noble of their village and thus had admited them into training, but due to their age they were still far to young to be of much use.
This all changed however when their village was attacked and the twins wound up being injured; having taken down a good portion of the enemy themselves, they felt that they couldn't go on anymore due to their injuries. Several days passed before a contigent from the Royal City of Alkon arrived, along with them was young Princess Rena, nine year's old at the time, whom was only their because she was in the area but also because she was able to use healing magic and could assist those that might still be alive.
She found the twins passed out in the lower portion of the nobles home and healed what she could before summoning the guard to take them back to the palace, her mother and father didn't agree with her but they still allowed it. After several days word came from one of the soldiers that the only reason the enemy didn't continue their assault was because of the twins and their innate ability to use a bow, after a few they found out that the twins had no family as theirs had been killed.
At first, the queen and king were going to admite them into a foster family but they realized that their daughter didn't have much in terms of friends, at the time, and they knew it would be a welcome sight for her to be smiling and having fun once again. In short - the twins were originally intended to be friends to Rena, however as their skills at a bow improved and as they developed special magical abilities, that friendship shifted to bodyguard, but in most case's they're still her friends. After some time they adopted themselves as being just her guards, even though Rena refers to them as her friend.
Her mother and father have, for the time being, allowed this 'body guard' thing to go on knowing that at least someone with some skill will be close by in case something happens, even though Rena is protected by the elite guard who tends to stay out of her line of sight.
Because of an error in writing, I used Akito more than the characters real name, so for that reason I've made a slight alteration to both profiles.
