Sashion Culture

The Sashion culture is built along the lines of fear and terror; their 'priests' prech fear to the citizens and report that if they are not 'faithful' to their leaders and 'gods' that they would strike them down and kill them. Their leaders have made many an example of this and after so many years of this, people no longer question their leaders and give them an unbreakable bond of loyalty built on that fear.

However, every now and then, someone does rise up against them but is very quickly struck down.

It doesn't matter 'who' it is to; even children are sworn under this loyalty, they are taught very early that they are to trust their leaders strictly and without question and if they do speak out against them then they are used as an example in front of other children about not speaking out against them.

Freedoms

The only freedoms that Sashion people have is in commerce, freedom of religion, freedom of speech do not exist and is strictly regulated to the point of utter insanity.

Slave Labor

As stated, when someone speaks out against the government they are killed as an example - however the reality is that they aren't really killed. When the person is stabbed the blade is really holographic, but a small portion of the blade is infact real but only long enough to peirce the skin and inject in a paralyzing agent into the body that makes the person fall limp as if dead. Once they are removed from the area they are taken to a camp and turned into slave labor. This is how slave labor is formed, by tricking their citizens into thinking that their loved one's are dead where in reality they are turned into the labor needed to operate factories and refining complexes.

Children are better used as slave labor, while adults are better used as cyborg labor. IE: They are turned into mindless automatons to work for the government with no free will of their own.

Medical

Due to the medical technology possessed by the Sashion, it's rather rare for someone to become ill to the point of collaspse, however the human body isn't perfect and if people keep themselves locked away in their homes with no interaction to the outside world then the body get's even weaker.

In fect, medical care is on a priority basis only. Meaning the more 'status' the person has the higher the chance they'll get treated. For the most part, children of influencial families have a very high number on the priority list, while children from not-so-influencial families rank the lowest. It is for that reason why when a child get's very ill and won't survive for more than a few days, the government will perform a 'rite' where the child is used to satisfy the 'gods'

The reality of the matter is the exact same as the slave labor, the child is in fact cured of his illness by going into a special hospital, but once out he is retitled as slave labor and thus works to keep the city alive. This may explain why the capitals grave yards are rather sparce on grave stones.

When a person dies, be it child or adult, their bodies go to researching what killed them and how to perfect an vaccine. However, this is not always the case as in adults, their bodies are turned over to cyborg research and used exclusively for that purpose.

Rebel

The rebellion works completely different from the Sashion, they possess small towns and villages hidden from the government that are in so much of a different world, that citizens escaping from the grip of the Sashion culture often have culture shock when they see such a free society. Of course, they are only free because they fight for that freedom.

Children are the rebellion's most important aspect; in that they protect them from the influences of the Sashion culture. These children are able to run free, play, and learn what is actually needed to survive. The soldiers of the rebellion spend weeks trying their minds to fight the constant propaganda that the Sashion spew into suspected rebel areas.

Post-WW5

EGN is so different from the Sashion, that it would normally be considered shocking if it was to suddenly happen. The culture doesn't go after people for speaking out against them because they don't have to, people are so entranced in getting humanity back on it's feet that the culture itself is based purely on getting humanity back into shape and that no one really has to worry about being killed for speaking out - since the leadership actually tells people that if they have concerns that they are to make their concerns known.
