Ability:Wind Scar

The Wind Scar, also known as Kaze no Kizu in Japanese, is a technique originally used by the Great Dog Yokai, InuTaishou, from the InuYasha Universe. The technique itself utilizes the natural force created when two waves of Yoki collide, which is generally the case when two Yokai fight. The user of the technique must be able to sense where the Wind Scar is before slicing it to create an energy blast.
History
The Wind Scar is thought to be first used by the Great Dog Yokai, InuTaishou, who commissioned Toutousai to create the sword Tessaiga from his own fang. The original idea of the sword was to allow it to be able to cut the invisible Wind Scar that forms in the battle field, unleashing its energy at the opponent. The energy that is released is said to be able to destroy a hundred Yokai in one blow.
Further development of the technique allowed the user of the Tessaiga to create a Wind Scar at will be either whirling his/her own Yoki around the Tessaiga which in turn was emitting its own Yoki that collided to form the Wind Scar or by swirling the user's own Yoki around the blade, causing the Wind Scar to form from the friction of the Yoki rubbing against itself. (It is not made clear which method, if either, is the method used in the Anime/Manga.) While both allow the Wind Scar to be used on things that do not generate Yoki, it had a down side of draining the user's own Yoki supply, making each attack more tiresome.
Two hundred years after InuTaishou died, his son, InuYasha, discovered The Wind Scar was the basis for using the Backlash Wave, a technique that can redirect an opponent's Yoki attack back at them, simultaneously blasting them with the Wind Scar and their own energy. Although InuTaishou knew about this technique, it was suggested that he himself was never able to master it.
Evolution
In the Year -44 or so, Sonic found the InuYasha Universe and soon after learned the Wind Scar. At the time it could only work with the energy created by two colliding Yoki. Since the Matrix is filled with all sorts of energy, the technique wouldn't be very effective unless it could be adapted to be used on other forms of energy. Liking the idea of the technique, Sonic set out to adapt the technique to use on other forms of energy. Over the course of time, Sonic had made the technique work on many forms of energy including different variations of Reiki and Yoki.
Later Sonic learned how to combine certain energy (like a collision of Reiki and Yoki) to create different Wind Scars with different potentials and abilities. Additionally, Sonic has also found he could relay a third energy through the Wind Scar, making it a carrier of a hidden "Package".
While one would think that The Wind Scar is a complete technique, the reality is that the technique is continuing to be developed. There are still many more forms of energy out there that don't work with the technique yet, waiting for Sonic or his daughter Inertia to discover ways to use it.
